It’s 1970 in Berkeley, CA. The radical university known colloquially as “Cal” is flooded with hippies and protesters while the Reputable Businesses in town hastily put up “Hippies use the back door” signs to try to maintain the status quo. Meanwhile, the supernatural community is reeling from fallout of the Moon Landing. You’re students at UC Berkeley – just ordinary kids who’ve never had to deal with concepts like “magic is real,” “why are my ears pointy?” and “the Golden Gate might be a dragon in disguise” – until now.
A beginner-focused game introducing the classic World of Darkness (20th Anniversary Edition), a grim yet hopeful urban fantasy world not unlike our own.
Content Warning: period-typical sexism and racism among the villains.
About the Party: a cheerful, collaborative, creative, and sometimes very silly table starting their second campaign together and eager for new faces to join.
Sunday 12pm Pacific, GM Nora
2 Openings | Daggerheart | $20 + SPG site fees
The Drylands are full of the blood of the old gods, but that blood goes by another name: Essentia. This fuels modern industry and magic. The mines have made and broken plenty of folks’ dreams. Now the land shakes under the feet of Colossi who devastate militias and threaten what scraps of civilization there are here. Can you bring them down?
Content warnings: Violence, economic exploitation, ecological disaster
About the Party: Lighthearted, punny, heroic. Characters start at level 5.
Alternate Mondays 9am-12pm Pacific, GM Connor
1 Opening | Werewolf: the Apocalypse | $30

Then come join us for Rage Across San Francisco! This classic system features more crunchy mechanics and giant handfuls of dice; system newbies very welcome.
Content Warnings: violence, contentious power dynamics.
About the Party: friendly and focused, exploring the setting together, making unwise but heroic choices.

Content Warnings: Horror themes, mild gore, violence, various supernatural creatures.
About the Party: Laid back, welcoming, and enthusiastically active group.
Thursday 2:30 Pacific, GM Nora

As the premiere superhero team of Raccoon City, it falls to you to stop apocalypses… and figure out how to keep your parents happy and your schoolwork done. Sparkle Force is dealing with cosmic powers, so where does being a teen fit in?
Content Warnings: Kidnappings/hostages, violence, emotional manipulation, controlling adults.
About the Party: Highly story-invested table that loves to explore the serious and emotional aspects of the story while punching baddies and being cool AF. Lots of backstory, expect to have a lot of lore shared with you!
Saturday 10-1 Pacific

Superpowers are new for the whole world as of a few months ago. You’re joining an upcoming team in the Midwestern major metropolis of Raccoon City: the Mysterious Five. The team is led by a young hero named Powersuit, and they’ve already got lots of supervillains bagged and tagged. Are you a fan or a hater?
Content Warnings: Classism, controlling parents, hostages, prejudice, violence
(Please note: this setting is not related to the Resident Evil franchise.)
About the Party: Teen drama, self-aware humor (without making your whole character a joke), realism within the setting, romance is a theme but not required.
